LTT (Learning, Teaching and Training) - Pescara

Linguistic diversity is a fundamental element of the culture of any community, be it European or worldwide, allowing intercultural dialogue, and the ability to communicate in a language other than the mother tongue.

In the EU, linguistic diversity is a reality that influences the teaching and learning of languages in different countries. Having language skills contributes to the mobility, employability and personal development of European citizens, especially young people, reinforcing intercultural dialogue. The Council of Europe stresses that a good command of foreign languages is an important essential competence to succeed in the modern world and in the labor market, which led to the creation of the Erasmus + Program, which included the objective of improving language teaching and learning. Languages are the bridge between people and the increasingly global, increasingly digital and constantly changing world.
With all these assumptions, our Erasmus + project, "Multilingualism for a Sustainable society" had its first LTT (Learning, Language and

Over the course of five days, sharing, interaction, conviviality, cooperative learning and cultural diversity intertwined through several languages.
The participating students were accommodated in the homes of Italian students 'families in the project, a situation that enriched and reinforced the students' intercultural and linguistic ties.

All students participated in French, Spanish and German classes, attended classes in various subject areas, made presentations on their countries and on two of the Sustainable Development Goals, advocated by the UN until 2030: gender equality and the reduction of inequalities.

Teachers and students from the four countries involved also had moments of learning and training with lectures provided by university professors and workshops on language teaching and the role of multilingualism in an increasingly diverse society. The school has an important role in empowering global competences that only knowledge of languages will allow to achieve, in a communicative and multidimensional perspective.

Languages are more than a personal passion or an intellectual satisfaction; they are a means of understanding identities, cultures and job opportunities, as well as achieving personal goals, especially professional ones, in an increasingly multilingual world context.
